As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in selling vehicles while achieving dealership profit goals, volume targets, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will encompass several key areas: personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recognize that customer satisfaction is the foundation of our business and strive to ensure every customer is satisfied.
  • Identify each customer's vehicle needs through effective questioning and active listening.
  • Showcase vehicles through demonstrations, including test drives.
  • Facilitate the delivery of vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's features, warranty, and necessary paperwork, laying the groundwork for customer loyalty.
  • Set personal income goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, and performance analyses.
  • Stay informed about incoming inventory, features, and accessories, and how they benefit customers.
  • Collaborate with the service department to ensure vehicles are reconditioned as expected and on schedule.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions provided by the dealership and manufacturer.
  • Maintain a prospect development system to foster potential sales.
  • Implement an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Review and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly actions to optimize time management and planning.
  • Understand automotive terminology and keep updated on technological advancements in the industry.
  • Be knowledgeable about equity, values, and depreciation to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Comprehend federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.
  • Introduce customers to service department staff to highlight the quality and efficiency of our service offerings.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents to management immediately.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Valid in-state driver's license.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet sales quotas in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Authorization to work in the USA is required.
  • Ability to perform duties safely and responsibly.
  • Capability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug tests.
