National Forest Foundation (NFF) is excited to announce a full-time opportunity to oversee a program dedicated to fostering collaboration between NFF and the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland (ARP). The coordinator will engage with communities throughout Northern Colorado, leading projects in partnership with the ARP.
About NFF: The National Forest Foundation is committed to inspiring individuals to cherish and safeguard our magnificent natural environment. Through collaboration with numerous partners, we implement natural solutions that enhance the well-being of our communities and ecosystems.
Role Responsibilities: The Northern Colorado Program Coordinator will report to NFF's Rocky Mountain Region Program Manager and collaborate closely with other field staff based in Colorado. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating partnerships with organizations to promote resource planning and community involvement focused on post-fire recovery, reforestation, and recreational initiatives.
- Managing complex financial processes and funding strategies related to ARP-NFF partnership programs.
- Enhancing the Forest's recreation initiatives by collaborating with local recreation groups and utilizing NFF's resources for priority projects.
- Utilizing NFF's contracting and grant-making capabilities to support the maintenance and repair of ARP infrastructure.
- Assisting in collaborative planning efforts across the ARP based on community needs, which may involve facilitation and financial management.
- Leading the procurement and management of contracts for services related to project implementation.
- Coordinating with contractors, consultants, nonprofit organizations, and landowners to ensure effective project execution.
- Collaborating with the U.S. Forest Service to develop and manage large-scale agreements associated with various projects.
- Overseeing budgets and reporting for grants from various government and philanthropic sources.
- Expanding the network of private and public-sector supporters by pursuing funding opportunities and writing grants.
- Building and nurturing relationships among federal and state agencies, local governments, and nonprofit organizations to foster effective conservation partnerships.
- Enhancing NFF's capacity to support forest and watershed health projects by reinforcing existing collaborations and cultivating new partnerships.
- Staying informed about trends, emerging issues, and innovations in conservation programming to enhance NFF's strategic impact.
Location: This position is based in Northern Colorado, with flexibility for remote work. Regular travel throughout the Northern Colorado Region and ARP National Forest is required.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in conservation, business, environmental science, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in conservation programs, project planning, or implementation coordination.
- Experience in project management, including budget tracking and collaboration with multiple partners.
- Strong writing and public speaking skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
