About the Role

Virtua Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with approved techniques and NRC/ACR standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality nuclear medicine studies according to established protocols.
  • Administer radioisotopes and perform venipuncture as needed.
  • Conduct quality control tests to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Recognize and report any recordkeeping failures or omissions.
  • Perform routine calibration on equipment without assistance.
  • Strictly observe safety precautions when handling radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Prepare kits according to manufacturer instructions and use aseptic technique when preparing radiopharmaceutical kits.
  • Utilize RIS, PACS, and hospital-based computer programs effectively.
  • Respond to changes in the work schedule and cover shifts on a rotational basis.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Current N.J. license in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Registered by the ARRT and/or certified by the NMTCB preferred.
  • CPR certification preferred.
