This role encompasses two primary functions: managing imaging processes and digitizing Radiology examinations and orders into the Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS).

This is a computer-centric position that necessitates proficiency in various systems for processing, interpreting, and disseminating imaging data, which is crucial for patient care planning.

Additionally, this team oversees the Radiology Front Desk, facilitating check-in for scheduled appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Uploading and creating CDs/DVDs for both intra- and inter-departmental use.
2. Digitizing documentation and imaging into the PACS database.
3. Providing assistance to physicians, technologists, and other support personnel during periods of system downtime and upgrades.

4. Performing clerical tasks and workflow processes in PACS, Exam Manager, OneView, Powerscribe, EPIC, Matrix Ray, and other relevant hospital computer systems.

5. Understanding on-call procedures and initiating the call-in process for urgent procedures.

6. Effectively communicating STAT results to healthcare providers and patients while ensuring HIPAA compliance and demonstrating empathy towards patients and their families.

7. Greeting and registering outpatients for their appointments, ensuring accurate demographic and financial information is collected.
8. Familiarity with x-ray order entry and scheduling for walk-in patients.
9. Performing additional duties as necessary.

Additional Information:
Technical proficiency in computer systems, along with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail, is essential.
Analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem-solving are highly valued.
Experience collaborating with various organizational levels is preferred.
Background in healthcare is advantageous.
Basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred.
This position demands exceptional communication skills.


Education and Experience Requirements: This role involves computer work, telephone communication, customer interaction, the ability to work independently, and sound judgment. A minimum of 1 year of experience in patient registration, scheduling, office work, or a customer service role utilizing computers is required.

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is a plus.

CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) or related medical certification is also advantageous. *Prior experience with the specified software is not mandatory; however, computer proficiency is essential.
