About the Role

The Commercial Intelligence Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering key functions of the Commercial Intelligence team at SES. This includes providing analytics, reporting, and oversight for the execution of the company's commercial strategy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Deal Analysis: Build financial analysis and operational modeling of commercial deal structures to inform business decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Identify, analyze, and track key performance indicators (KPIs), patterns, and trends to understand underlying causes of under or over performance and propose corrective actions.
  • Market Research: Conduct price and volume analysis for SES capacity and products to inform commercial strategies.
  • Business Improvement: Analyze the business impact of commercial deals and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc analysis and reports as determined by the needs of the business.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in business and financial analysis, working on commercial deal structures and/or commercial pricing.
  • Skills: High level of proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint required. Fluent in English (written and oral). Ability to work effectively with teams to resolve operational or process problems appropriately in diverse situations.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to create a robust financial and operational model of commercial deal structures.
  • Analytical Skills: Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and report information, including reporting and presenting findings in a clear manner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Good commercial negotiation skills, strategic awareness, and business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the satellite or telecommunications industry preferred.
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to work well in a multi-cultural, international environment.
  • Process Management: Process and program management skills required with high attention to detail and processes.
  • Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to weigh up a variety of possible options and determine the best solution.
