Space Systems Team

The Space Systems team at Rocket Lab is responsible for designing, creating, and putting together our own satellites for missions across the commercial, government, and defense sectors. We also build and assemble satellite hardware and software that supports other satellite missions.

RF Test Engineer I/II Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Test Engineer I/II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing radio frequency components and systems used to support satellites. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design test setups and develop test scripts to automate tests
  • Develop test plans and procedures, and seek input from RF engineers as necessary
  • Arrange and purchase test equipment and components as needed
  • Establish test setups, conduct testing, and post-process test data
  • Develop test reports and train and support production technicians
Requirements
  • 4-year Engineering degree in Electronics, Communications, RF, or other technical discipline
  • Working knowledge of common RF components and their general RF performance characteristics
  • Solid theoretical understanding of RF test and measurement principles
  • For RF Test Engineer II: 2+ years' experience in RF device/system testing, including test planning, conduct, and reporting
