Electrical Systems Specialist

USG Corporation is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within our manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical components and systems to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, including motors and motor control systems, to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Develop and implement procedures for troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical systems, including PLC controls and instrumentation equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address electrical system issues and implement improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in electrical systems design and maintenance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical systems maintenance and repair, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards, including NEC and NFPA-70E.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
