Job Overview

The Fountain Group is a leading staffing firm, partnering with prominent clients across the nation. We are currently seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician III to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Accurately interpret healthcare provider prescription orders and enter them into the core pharmacy system.
  • Notify physicians of incomplete or incorrect prescription information and perform outreach when necessary.
  • Assist in obtaining accurate verbal orders for product replacement and missing prescription information from healthcare providers.
  • Manage patient adherence processes and schedule medication deliveries in accordance with Pharmacy Solutions guidelines.
  • Communicate with health insurance payors and providers to investigate benefits and transmit test claims to verify prescription coverage.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, prioritize work, and perform testing as business requires.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added as deemed necessary for business management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy tech license in the state of IL or eligibility to apply for a license on the first day.
  • Preferred: CPhT – Certified Pharmacy Technician (or within the eligibility window of obtaining CPhT).
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to make high-quality decisions, and operate under general supervision.
  • Excellent communication and inter-professional skills.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral communications.
  • Flexible work schedule, ability to work between 7am and 7pm.
  • Strong computer skills, including accurate data entry and proficiency in Microsoft Word or Excel software applications.
