Position Summary:

As a Cold Food Associate, you will play a crucial role in crafting Abby's culinary masterpieces, which serve as a gateway to diverse and innovative dining experiences. Our culinary team is dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience while upholding the highest food safety standards.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Cold Food Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established protocols for entry and work areas, ensuring compliance with hygiene and security standards.
  • Interpret instructional materials to determine the necessary food items and supplies for preparation.
  • Follow all food safety regulations and procedures diligently.
  • Portion and present hot dishes, ensuring quality and safety by inspecting for contaminants.
  • Manage food storage and disposal according to established guidelines.
  • Prepare cold food items for assembly, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Work in a temperature-controlled environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred for communication.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting food preparation instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Possession of a valid Food Protection Certificate recognized by local authorities.
  • Excellent time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in the airline catering industry is advantageous.
