Position Summary

Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Purpose: The Automated Press Operator is responsible for managing automated production lines, ensuring equipment operates efficiently, and adhering to all quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates will possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate production lines in accordance with specified production requirements.
  • Conduct pre-production equipment inspections and monitor operations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect workpieces for quality assurance and measure them using appropriate tools to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Accurately report production metrics following company protocols.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the root causes of any errors or defects.
  • Utilize material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to manage raw materials and components.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with equipment setups and changeovers.
  • Familiarity with loading coils.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with metal stamping presses is advantageous.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety procedures is essential.
