Job Overview

Raven Defense Corporation is a leading provider of high-quality engineering services, expert program consultation, and specialized technical equipment to meet the demanding requirements of our customers in deployable sensors and cutting-edge research, development, test and evaluation systems.

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to support a variety of ongoing efforts, including electrical loads analysis, complex harness design, analysis, and documentation, hands-on system wiring, troubleshooting efforts, printed circuit board design, and related development tasks supporting satellite communications, telemetry, electronic warfare, and associated equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on high-voltage design and systems integration. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office software applications, including MS Word and Excel, and have a working knowledge of RF and mixed signal design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems and circuits for deployable sensors and cutting-edge research, development, test and evaluation systems
  • Perform electrical loads analysis and complex harness design, analysis, and documentation
  • Conduct hands-on system wiring and troubleshooting efforts
  • Design and develop printed circuit boards and related development tasks
  • Support satellite communications, telemetry, electronic warfare, and associated equipment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of RF and mixed signal design
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently or with a team, handle the stress of multiple projects, changing schedules, and short suspense tasking
  • Proficiency in DoD guidelines and standards, security procedures, testing protocols, and administrative standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technology integration in the defense and aerospace field
  • Working knowledge of at least one discipline of circuit card design, RF, mixed signal design, electrical schematic and system design, or defense industry electrical engineering standards
  • Significant experience in airborne system integration activities
  • Thorough understanding of the whole design lifecycle and ability to work outside core function
  • Operational experience in the DoD Research, Development, Test and Evaluation community
  • Progressive experience in technical and management of defense and aerospace technologies, including RF technologies such as electronic warfare, telemetry, and ISR applications

Travel and Clearance:

  • Occasional travel, up to 25%, is required for this position
  • Candidate must be capable of meeting FAA medical flight clearance requirements
  • US Citizenship is required for this position
  • Candidate must meet minimum eligibility requirements to obtain a US DoD Top Secret level security clearance
