Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the construction team in evaluating and managing project costs and profitability across various initiatives.
  • Establish and oversee a robust cost management system that accurately tracks expenses and production discrepancies, facilitating precise forecasts of financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with corporate colleagues to promote ongoing enhancements in cost efficiency, operational processes, and uniformity in costing practices throughout the organization.
  • Engage in negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize value, quality, and delivery for the company and our clientele.
  • Maintain and update cost and pricing data for all ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Forecast expenses for new project designs and service offerings as part of the strategic business framework.
  • Analyze plans for standardization of materials, options, and construction techniques.
  • Develop and sustain an effective scheduling system to ensure timely project completion.
  • Be prepared to assist on-site as necessary and demonstrate a hands-on approach to the role.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in construction cost analysis and planning with a strong focus on detail for new projects.
  • Proficient in budgeting and estimation, with a track record of negotiating contracts and securing cost-effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; must be flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience in new construction projects is essential.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items weighing at least 30 pounds, and perform various physical tasks as needed.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
