Role Summary
The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in managing the patient check-in process, updating patient records, handling a multi-line phone system, and maintaining medical records. This position also involves the collection of co-pays and cash payments.

Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
- Perform opening and closing duties for the clinic
- Welcome patients, check them in for appointments, and verify insurance details
- Scan and upload documents into the electronic health record system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting area and reception desk
- Monitor schedules for added, canceled, and no-show appointments
- Schedule follow-up appointments as necessary
- Address tasks in the electronic health record system
- Order and manage clinic office supplies
- Sell and track cosmetic products
- Distribute incoming mail
- Prepare for the next day's scheduled appointments
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office or similar role is preferred
- Proficient in basic computer operations
- Quick learner of new software applications
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute is preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively
- Open to constructive feedback and guidance from supervisors
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Friendly, tactful, and polite interaction with patients
- Compassionate and caring approach in all dealings
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
