Job Description

The Mortgage Consultant will focus on retaining the servicing portfolio and generating loan volume through inbound and outbound lead sources. The successful candidate will promote Towne Mortgage products and quality standards by training, coaching, and aligning the performance of assigned staff.

  • Originate mortgage loans from inbound leads, current portfolios, and other campaigns.
  • Take applications, analyze clients' income/debt, run loan data through an automated underwriting system, and submit loan applications to processing.
  • Ensure that documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured in a timely manner during origination.
  • Make outbound calls daily and follow up on existing portfolios to retain existing accounts.
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with customer inquiries.
  • Interview applicants to develop information regarding their goals and determine the appropriate product, terms, and pricing.
  • Achieve department and individual sales/production goals and objectives.
  • Ensure checklists are followed and content is usable for processors and underwriters.
  • Maintain CRM (Contact Relationship Manager).
  • Maintain and comply with all company standards, policies, and procedures.
