Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients, take vital signs, and record medical information in patient records.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination, and assist clinicians with patient care.
  • Inventory, order, and replenish medical supplies and materials.
  • Administer medications, including injections, and perform routine laboratory tests.
  • Schedule appointments, perform clinical tasks, and complete necessary forms.
  • Provide excellent customer service, anticipating patients' needs and taking proactive steps to meet those needs.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, being flexible, cooperative, and willing to assist others.
Requirements
  • Minimum six (6) months of experience or successful completion of Kaiser Permanente externship.
  • High School Diploma/GED and completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California.
  • Basic Life Support certification and ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information.
  • Ability to effectively present information, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level I required.

Work Environment

This is a part-time position with a scheduled weekly hours of 20. The work schedule is Day shift, with working hours starting at 8:45 AM and ending at 5:15 PM.
