Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist I to join our team at BronxCare Health System. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, label, and dispense medications as prescribed by qualified healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise the compounding of bulk or extemporaneous medications, including packaging and labeling.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication orders and prescriptions filled, including controlled drug records.
  • Supervise the use of special pharmacy equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide information and education to patients and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Assist in personnel-related functions and participate in in-service training programs.
Qualifications
  • PharmD degree with one year of recognized internship experience.
  • Current New York State Pharmacist License.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.
