Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) OpenShift environments
  • Automate container deployments and installations
  • Design and implement RHEL kickstart installation media for custom Red Hat Enterprise OS images
  • Perform software integration and engineering, as well as maintenance, of existing Intelligence and Operational Systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide support to identify and solve problems
  • Maintain system Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessments (IAVA) compliance and system security configurations
  • Research and design complex computer systems as needed, and author white papers on new technologies for insertion into program functions
  • Write scripts, programs, and tools to ensure program meets contract requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or IT
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 and 9
  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Management
  • OpenShift Container Platform
  • Container creation and deployment
  • Syslog Monitoring and Maintenance
  • Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
  • Linux Security Hardening (DISA STIGS and Nessus Scanning)
  • Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux) debugging and policy development
  • RAID Storage Principals
  • Red Hat Package Management Repository Management (RPM createrepo/mrepo)
  • Version Control (GIT, Mercurial)
  • Advanced Scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Virtualization Experience (Provisioning Management, Platform Agnostic)
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with IA Controls, backup and restoration operations for UNIX and Linux operating systems using commercial off-the-shelf products (COTS)
  • Ability to create manual restoration processes or scripted implementations for backup and recovery operations
  • Skills associated with the installation of RHEL systems using and creating kickstart scripts
  • Skills associated with installation, maintenance, and operations of COC servers, communications configuration, IPTables and Firewall configurations, and multicast communications
