JOB SUMMARY:
The Facility Sanitation Specialist is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within the facility, including both warehouse and production areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of various machinery, support equipment, and conveyor systems.
  • Ensure floors, walls, and designated workspaces are kept clean and sanitized.
  • Conduct general maintenance tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and other warehouse upkeep duties.
  • Prioritize cleaning tasks based on departmental needs.
  • Adhere to all Food Safety, Sanitation, and Safety policies.
  • Follow proper handling procedures for all products in accordance with industry standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility by collecting and disposing of trash and debris.
  • Ensure sanitary conditions are upheld by managing waste disposal and spill clean-up.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to minimize product loss.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately.
  • Observe and enforce safety regulations to minimize accidents.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain and inspect material handling equipment daily, reporting any maintenance needs.
  • Comply with all company policies and applicable laws.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
One year of sanitation or maintenance experience required.
Skills:
Ability to operate a pallet jack and other material handling equipment.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old and able to work independently with attention to detail.
Certificates:
Certification in material handling equipment operation preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Mathematical Skills:
Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and handle standard situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The role requires regular use of hands, standing, walking, and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is full-time and may require working nights, weekends, or holidays. The job is primarily conducted in a warehouse setting with exposure to various environmental conditions.
