Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at MedStar Medical Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice and Quality: Provide relationship-based care that promotes continuous, consistent, efficient, and accountable delivery of nursing care using the nursing process.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with interprofessional groups to ensure coordination, continuity, and safe care.
  • Leadership: Supports and contributes to the unit, department, and organizational goals inclusive of the mission, vision, and values.
  • Professional Development: Serves as a preceptor or mentor and participates in professional development activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience: At least two (2) years recent acute care experience in the relevant patient care area required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required; CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • C-EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) is required for Perinatal nurses (labor and delivery, antepartum, antenatal testing) within 12 months from date of hire.
  • Certification in specialty or related specialty preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

This position has a hiring range of $63.30.
