About the Role:

Piper Companies is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team in a 100% on-site role in Portage, MI. As a Research Scientist, you will serve as the single point of study control and conduct studies in accordance with scientific practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Principal Investigator/Study Director/Bioanalytical Monitor for both internal and external studies
  • Create protocols and ensure those protocols are approved
  • Maintain relationships with industry and scientific sponsors through communication and presentations
  • Exhibit knowledge and develop expertise in gene and cell therapy
  • Write and review reports and SOPs

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience
  • Experience with PCR and gene therapy
  • Knowledge of GLPs and federal regulations
  • PhD or a Master's degree in a scientific-related discipline
