Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in a Part-Time capacity. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to patients with cancer, adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
  • Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
  • Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
  • Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient's chart.
  • Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
  • Assist patients in locating available community resources.
  • Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Five years nursing experience.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced oncology/hematology clinic environment. The position may involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
