Aerospace Avionics Systems Specialist

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation seeks an experienced Aerospace Avionics Systems Specialist to provide technical expertise and leadership in the operation, testing, and repair of avionics and electronic systems. Essential duties include ensuring quality and efficiency of installations, troubleshooting and teaching troubleshooting processes, and demonstrating technical expertise and leadership in defining and implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising Safety or Quality.
Key Responsibilities:Operational and Functional Testing: Conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of avionics and electronic systems.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoots and teaches troubleshooting processes to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems, and ensures quality and efficiency of all installations.
Technical Expertise and Leadership: Demonstrates technical expertise and leadership in defining and implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising Safety or Quality.
Training and Development: Provides direct training to personnel to support company cross-training goals while ensuring a safety-conscious, quality-oriented, skilled workforce.
Additional Responsibilities: Oversees the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required, adapts to sudden schedule changes, and coordinates with other disciplines concerning projects.
Requirements:Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, with Six (6) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four (4) years related experience. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other acft systems or disciplines other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls or structural installations and repairs.
Other Requirements: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams, and APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred.
