Job Summary

Network and Data Solutions Integrators (NDSI) is seeking a highly skilled Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to join our team. As a VDI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and defining VDI system architecture for new or existing computer systems, coordinating system development, and ensuring the security and integrity of our virtual desktop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and define VDI system architecture for new or existing computer systems
  • Coordinate system development, including design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing
  • Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues
  • Offer guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies
  • Maintain advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies
  • Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Apply extensive technical expertise and have full knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and 'make buy' decisions
Requirements
  • Experience providing engineering support for legacy and current versions of Citrix products
  • 1.5+ years of experience with BS degree or a combination of years of experience and education
  • Progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later
  • Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS)
  • Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
  • Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX
  • Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)
  • Citrix App Layering
  • Liquidware Profile Unity
  • Hyper V, VMWare VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • System Center Virtual Machine Manager/Vmware Vcenter 6.7
  • Active Directory/ Group Policies
  • Home Directory and Profile management Support Services
  • Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services
