Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at Procession Systems.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting infrastructure and applications on Linux systems
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting on infrastructure, data feeds, and application availability and system performance
  • Performing infrastructure and application operations and maintenance support
  • Troubleshooting server virtualization issues
  • Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures for new server builds and STIGs
  • Developing custom scripts to automate systems administration
  • Supporting change requests and problem tickets
  • Ensuring proper planning and execution of major projects/maintenance activities
  • Documenting standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting tips

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on Linux experience and expertise working on classified systems in both CentOS/RHEL Linux Systems Administration or Systems Engineering
  • Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Perl) experience with developing, securing and delivering hardware and software updates and enhancements through testing, security assessment and authorization, and production readiness reviews
  • Strong teamwork, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Strong initiative to accept new technical challenges in complex system engineering assignments

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:

  • Certification and/or experience with AWS cloud
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification(s)
  • DoD or Intelligence Community service
  • Experience and relationships with DIA
  • Hands-on experience with VDI hosting and virtualization with VMWare and/or Nutanix
  • Experience supporting NiFi data flows
  • Experience supporting Apache Tomcat web services
  • Experience installing, managing, and updating applications and services hosted on Linux servers
  • Experience working with cross-domain solutions
