Overview

Rose International is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Design Engineer to join our R&D organization. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in the development of next-generation robotic platforms that will revolutionize healthcare.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manufacturing Fixture Design Engineer who possesses a strong background in mechanical design, DFA/DFM, and DFT. You will be responsible for designing and developing production build and test fixtures for complex electromechanical sub-systems, ensuring seamless transition from prototype to verification testing and pilot builds.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop production build and test fixtures for complex electromechanical sub-systems
  • Create fixture requirements, design descriptions, use, and preventive maintenance documentation
  • Perform fixture qualifications and verifications in conjunction with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering
  • Support development of assembly and test processes for capital equipment and disposables
  • Develop fixtures and tests for component inspection
  • Support various multi-disciplinary technical and process improvement projects
  • Create engineering changes orders for the release of fixtures and tooling documentation
  • Manage and communicate assigned projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/Robotics/Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Over 8 years of electromechanical and consumable R&D engineering experience
  • At least 5 years in medical device required
  • Strong SolidWorks/PDM proficiency
  • Deep understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFT (Design for testing)
  • Experience in the design, qualification, and verification of fixtures for medical devices assembly and test
  • Must have previous experience in design transfer/new product introduction
  • Outstanding documentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using MS Office

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Expertise with electromechanical system development
  • Experience in developing Simulink-based fixture
  • Proficiency in Simulink/LabVIEW
  • Experienced in fixture and process validation
  • Experience with statistical tools and software such as Minitab

Estimated Salary Range

$65.00 per hour, based on industry standards and location.
