Position Overview

Job Summary

We are in search of a dedicated CPAP Support Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role involves managing all aspects of patient information intake related to durable medical equipment and respiratory supplies. The specialist will engage with patients, colleagues, and referral sources to ensure seamless service delivery and reimbursement processes. Additionally, the role includes overseeing new patient setups and managing service requests in alignment with Rotech's operational standards across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with operations and sales teams to minimize workflow disruptions and enhance patient care.
  • Engage with patients, referral sources, and Rotech locations to address inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to meet industry standards.
  • Follow established protocols in processing patient information.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to streamline operations and reduce processing times.
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements relevant to the services provided.
  • Accountable for personal performance metrics and proactive communication with supervisors regarding progress and challenges.
  • Process new orders, verify insurance eligibility, and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Manage varying expectations from referral sources and sales representatives effectively.
  • Verify coverage information for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
  • Work independently to achieve high performance standards in assigned tasks.
  • Support team objectives through collaboration with colleagues.
  • Work from home requirements include a reliable internet connection and a distraction-free workspace.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Employment Requirements
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Drug screening as applicable.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean record, if required.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred: Experience in the medical equipment field.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with medical billing practices and reimbursement processes.
  • Preferred: Background in the medical sector and administrative record management.
  • Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology.
