Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Panasonic Energy of North America. As a key member of our Procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, making procurement forecasts, checking inventory levels, and inspecting quality of incoming materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize purchasing volumes utilizing the MRP system.
  • Maintain tracking and communications on order volumes and delivery schedules from suppliers.
  • Prioritize the management of inventory and expiration of materials in the warehouse.
  • Negotiate contracts with local/specific suppliers (price, lead-time, inventory programs, etc.).
  • Work with Quality Control on supplier quality and quality audits.
  • Develop internal relationships and work closely with SCM to manage purchasing of raw materials and delivery dates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in SCM or Procurement, managing raw material purchasing.
  • Experience in working with international teams.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Japanese language skill preferred.
