Job Summary

Cottage Health is seeking a skilled Unit Care Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of licensed personnel. Your primary responsibilities will include facilitating care to meet patients' daily living activity needs, providing physical and clerical support, and communicating effectively with patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical and clerical support to patients and families
  • Facilitate care to meet patients' daily living activity needs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Contribute to the operation of the unit
  • Responsible for completion of unit competency assessments and annual education review
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • 1 year of customer service, healthcare, clerical, or equivalent experience
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Preferred: EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to use computer charting (electronic medical record) and computer order entry
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills
