Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:
Hart Medical Equipment is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care services in a home medical equipment setting. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing clinical respiratory services, providing patient education, and promoting the company's clinical respiratory services to referral sources and the healthcare community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and performs clinical respiratory services provided to customers.
- Provides appropriate deliveries, set-up, and instruction to clinical respiratory customers.
- Develops and implements plans of service to evaluate, assess, and meet customer needs, goals, and requirements.
- Markets and promotes the company's clinical respiratory services to referral sources and the healthcare community.
- Coordinates and performs quality assurance and maintenance services on respiratory therapy items.
- Delivers and instructs customers and caregivers on the proper and safe use of oxygen concentrators, liquid oxygen systems, and respiratory items.
- Ensures compliance with internal and external regulations, including infection control procedures.
- Coordinates and completes all equipment maintenance management records as required by the organization.
- Assists with obtaining prescriptions and Certificate of Medical Necessity forms required for billing to insurance companies.
- Provides on-call services as required by the company.
Requirements:
- Current license in the State of Michigan.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program or one year of experience in a related field.
- Reliable transportation, good driving record, and ability to drive in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
