Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of veterinary technicians and assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of department staff.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Manage department payroll and staffing costs, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Deliver results in areas of staff development, best practices, training, client satisfaction, and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry.
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates.
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) or hold a valid CA-RVT license.
- Experience in leadership roles or a strong desire to develop leadership skills.
