Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chef Instructor to join our team at Common Threads. As a Chef Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching cooking and nutrition education to children and families in our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach cooking and nutrition classes to children and families in our programs
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of our students
- Work with our team to develop and implement program curriculum
- Communicate with our team and stakeholders to ensure program success
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of nutrition and cooking principles
- Experience teaching cooking and nutrition classes to children and families
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary school or food industry experience
- Experience working with culturally diverse audiences
- Ability to speak multiple languages
