Job Title: Director of Social Services Program Data Systems

Job Summary:

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Social Services Program Data Systems to join our team. As a key member of our Social Services Department, you will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and developing our Information Management System (SIMS) to support all program client data collection and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the development and implementation of SIMS to support all program client data collection and reporting functions.
  • Work with the Territorial Social Services Secretary, Assistant Territorial Social Services Secretary, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize system requirements and make recommendations for system changes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure effective system integration and data exchange.
  • Provide training and support to divisional social services staff on SIMS and other client and program data systems.
  • Assist with statistical reporting and data analysis to support program evaluation and grant writing efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Contract Administrator to negotiate and manage system contracts and assess features.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or database administration/management, or a comparable degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years of experience in administrating client management systems that support social services or nonprofit programs.
  • Experience with WellSky/HMIS systems and familiarity with Salvation Army policies and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to train adults in a group setting.
  • Ability to work with others to anticipate, identify, and solve problems relating to individual database use or system-wide issues.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a typical office environment. Travel, including overnight and weekends, will be required occasionally.
