Server Responsibilities:
As a Server, your primary duties will include:

  • Welcoming guests and promptly taking their food and beverage orders.
  • Serving drinks and menu items to patrons while actively promoting additional offerings.
  • Exhibiting a lively and approachable demeanor while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Delivering exceptional service with a friendly smile to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicating with team members and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Engaging with guests in a clear and friendly manner.
  • Possessing comprehensive knowledge of menu items to assist guests in their selections.
  • Checking guests' identification to verify age requirements for alcohol service.
  • Monitoring guest behavior and alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service.
  • Completing assigned side work efficiently.
  • Accurately processing guest payments and sales.
  • Reporting any service or safety concerns to management and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues.
  • Fostering teamwork and quality service through effective communication with other departments.
  • Coordinating with bartenders and kitchen staff for timely food and beverage service.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment, preferably in nightlife.
  • Familiarity with various liquor brands, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Compliance with state legal age requirements.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • A friendly and courteous demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
  • Relevant certifications in alcohol awareness and food safety as required by local regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing for order taking and paperwork.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:
The Server position requires the ability to:

  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and move throughout the venue during shifts.
  • Handle food and beverages safely and effectively.
  • Bend, stoop, and kneel as necessary.
