Position Summary:
The Central Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the overall healthcare team at MultiCare Health System. Responsibilities include:
  • Cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging medical instruments
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies
  • Transporting equipment and materials
As a collaborative team member, this position requires a cooperative attitude and the ability to work under direct supervision. Daily tasks are routine but demand a service-oriented mindset, effective time management, independent decision-making, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Internal and External Contacts:
Daily interactions may include patient care providers and Materials Management staff, with limited external contacts such as patients, vendors, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Completion of a Central Service Technician training program or equivalent healthcare training
  • Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred
