The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the admission and care of ill newborns into the Level 3 NICU through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Prescribes, delegates, coordinates, supervises, and evaluates patient teaching and the activities of the ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Maintains the standards of professional nursing.
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • A current Florida license as a Registered Nurse or recognized compact licensure.
  • A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • One year of NICU experience.
