We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at North Oaks Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
- Monitor patients receiving I.V. conscious sedation, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures for blood and blood components, hyperalimentation, and chemotherapy.
- Participate in operational functions, including scheduling assignments, data collection, and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and promote a positive and respectful work environment.
- Participate in professional development activities, including committee meetings, in-service programs, and certification in Basic Life Support and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Current LA RN license
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift and transport patients, and perform other physical demands of the job
- Proficient in computer systems, including EPIC, HBOC, Hill-Rom Composer system, Net Learning, AYS, PAR Excellence, and Pyxis
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Experience in surgical or telemetry patient care
- Knowledge of individual surgeon preferences and ability to adapt to changing patient needs
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
