Position Summary

The Clinical Group Facilitator plays a crucial role in supporting children and their families from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds within a school environment. This position primarily involves leading therapeutic groups for children from Pre-K to grade 6. The facilitator may also deliver additional therapeutic services on-site, including service coordination, crisis intervention, stabilization, mental health education, and connecting families to essential community resources. Timely documentation of services and participation in supervision and team meetings are essential components of this role, which reports to the Clinical Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the mental health treatment of children and families, including group and individual therapy as required.
  • Coordinate and document both group and individual sessions that promote skill development, play, social interaction, self-esteem, and behavioral management.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for clients, colleagues, and community partners from various backgrounds.
  • Incorporate Trauma-Informed Care principles into all aspects of work.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided in compliance with ODMH, ADAMH, and agency standards.
  • Collect statistical and research data for outcome measurement.
  • Assist in planning school and summer programs and special events.
  • Provide coverage for various programs as needed across the organization.
  • Intervene as necessary to ensure the safety of children and the environment.
  • Offer crisis intervention when required.
  • Engage in staff meetings, professional development, and regular supervisory sessions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work/Counseling with a current license in Ohio (LSW/LISW) preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with experience in group facilitation is acceptable.
  • Prior experience working with school-age and/or preschool children is preferred.
  • Rendering Provider number required based on licensure level.
  • National Provider Identification number required.
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of auto liability insurance are necessary.
