The Lead Strategist of Corporate Planning is responsible for championing the creation and execution of corporate strategic projects, acting as a principal consultant to senior management on strategic issues. The individual will be charged with conducting comprehensive market studies, trend evaluations, and competitive analyses to guide strategic choices. By working in close collaboration with various divisions, the Lead Strategist guarantees that strategic initiatives are effectively integrated across the organization, fostering growth, innovation, and operational excellence. KEY DUTIES:
  • Strategic Development: Oversee the strategic development process, which includes formulating the company's medium to long-term strategy, establishing objectives, and identifying methods to achieve these targets.
  • Market Research: Execute thorough market research and evaluations to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks that may affect the business. Utilize this data to recommend modifications to the company's strategic course.
  • Financial Analysis: Create and sustain financial models to support strategic projects, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
  • Performance Evaluation: Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic projects and track progress against these metrics. Provide routine updates to senior management regarding the status of strategic initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Convey strategic plans and progress to stakeholders at all organizational levels, including presentations to executive leadership and the board.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Collaborate closely with various departments (e.g., Business Units, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain Management) to ensure strategic plans are in sync with departmental objectives and effectively executed across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. An MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, or a related field, with a proven history of successful strategic project leadership. Experience in a large-scale consumer goods company is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, including experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to convey complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in guiding cross-functional teams and initiatives.
