Qualifications and Experience:

  • Eligibility to work in Texas Public Schools
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in an educational setting, ideally in charter or independent schools
  • 2+ years of experience in leadership and personnel management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the educational leader, overseeing daily academic operations
  • Direct faculty activities and development
  • Articulate the mission and goals of BASIS to faculty, parents, and students
  • Supervise and evaluate faculty in curriculum development and implementation
  • Create a supportive and high-morale school climate conducive to learning
  • Collaborate with school directors to assess student performance
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Establish orientation programs for new faculty
  • Conduct regular faculty meetings to share information and ideas
  • Oversee auxiliary program coordination
  • Manage the development of the master school schedule
  • Consult with teachers on classroom management and instructional methods
  • Oversee academic guidance and student assessment standards
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the school
  • Guide college admissions and financial aid processes where applicable
