Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain water treatment plant equipment and facilities, including pumps, valves, and chemical feeders.
- Monitor and control water quality, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collect and analyze water samples, performing various chemical analyses and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and inspecting equipment, and reporting any issues or malfunctions.
- Provide guidance and assistance to other employees, as needed.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure optimal plant operations and maintenance.
- Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with vocational/technical training in water treatment plant operations.
- Valid State of Florida driver's license.
- One to five years of experience in water treatment plant operations, depending on the level of the position.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
