Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and communication skills. As a Human Services Worker II F/C Ops, you will be responsible for providing residential care, assisting with enrichment activities, and supporting the treatment, psychiatric rehabilitation, stabilization, and recovery of individuals with mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide residential care and support to individuals with mental illness, including assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and crisis intervention.
  • Assist with enrichment activities, such as recreational therapy, education, and vocational training, to promote recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Support the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with mental illness, including providing emotional support, guidance, and encouragement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor and report any changes in an individual's behavior, mood, or condition, and provide recommendations for adjustments to their treatment plan as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to manage aggressive or violent behavior, and ensure the safety of individuals and staff.
  • Document all interactions, incidents, and observations in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • One year of experience working in a mental health or human services setting, or related field, preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
