About the Role

Reporting directly to the Southwest Regional Underwriting Manager, you'll be responsible for growing and managing a robust book of business. This role is all about building strong partnerships with brokers, collaborating with talented colleagues, and making strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Management
  • Develop and execute business plans to drive growth and profitability in the Southwest region.
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to inform underwriting decisions.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize business outcomes.
Broker Partnership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top brokers, positioning PURE as their go-to partner.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive agent growth and success.
  • Provide exceptional service to brokers, ensuring they feel supported and informed.
  • Share expertise and best practices with brokers to help them craft tailored solutions for their clients.
Underwriting Execution
  • Take charge of new and renewal underwriting, selecting risks that align with PURE's strategic goals and guidelines.
  • Operate within authority, documenting decisions and ensuring timely follow-ups on all accounts.
What We're Looking For
  • A Bachelor's Degree (preferred, but not required), with a minimum of 5 years Underwriting experience.
  • A proven track record of technical expertise and deep product-specific knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills paired with outstanding interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • A natural talent for sales and marketing, with a passion for building relationships and driving business growth.
This is a hybrid role based in our Scottsdale office, where you'll collaborate with a passionate team twice a week, blending the best of in-office and remote work to support your success.

The base salary for this role can range from $75k-$90k, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual's ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
