Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the needs of patients and initiating appropriate interventions, as well as providing education and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation, analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues, and identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
  • Plan of Care: Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes, implement the identified plan of care, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Professional Development: Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, attain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice, and evaluate one's own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues, collaborate with patients, families, and others in the conduct of nursing practice, and integrate ethical provisions in all areas of practice.
  • Leadership and Research: Provide leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession, integrate research findings into practice, and demonstrate sound judgment, patience, and a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Current Montana licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certifications and Competencies: American Heart Association BLS certification and competence in modified primary nursing.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Outpatient clinic experience and knowledge of electronic health record operating systems.
