We are seeking an experienced and practical attorney to join our legal team at Regal Rexnord Corp. As a Corporate Counsel II, you will be responsible for providing pragmatic, business-minded, and proactive legal advice on a broad range of commercial and general corporate topics enterprise-wide.
Key Responsibilities- Support Commercial Contract Negotiations: Assist in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, including supervising the work of less senior team members and ensuring the utilization of standard processes.
- Real Estate Transactions: Actively participate in real estate transactions, providing advice on relocation of operations, environmental/EHS compliance, and other designated areas.
- Commercial Disputes: Advise on routine commercial disputes and partner with legal leadership and Associate General Counsel to resolve disputes through litigation if necessary.
- Policies and Procedures: Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training programs to drive compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and internal processes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Corporate Compliance, EHS, and Trade Compliance teams, serving as a go-to resource for general, day-to-day legal issues and questions.
The successful candidate will have:
- 6 years of corporate generalist and commercial contracts experience at a reputable U.S. law firm or in-house, or a combination of both.
- Experience with or exposure to IoT/digital, real estate transactions, environmental/EHS, government contracts, IP, litigation, regulatory, and/or product compliance, and/or antitrust matters.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and risk assessment.
- Strong and effective drafting skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Practical business acumen, driving pragmatic business-oriented solutions.
- A highly approachable, collegial, and collaborative approach.
- Accountable and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently.
- Superb organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once.
- Must be licensed, and in good standing, to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
