Job Summary

The H&K Group is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, storing, transferring, distributing, and inventorying stone products and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including loaders, to load and unload materials
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment, adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections of equipment and maintain daily inspection sheets
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers on site
  • Maintain haul roads and stockpiles in a safe and organized manner
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including lubrication and cleaning
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR one year of related experience and/or training
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Able and willing to work a 2nd shift schedule
  • Experience operating heavy equipment
  • Problem solving
  • Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years related experience
  • Strong preference for Loader operation experience
  • Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
  • MSHA or other relevant safety certification
Work Environment
  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Regularly exposed to vibration
  • Frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles
  • Frequently exposed to moving parts
  • Noise level is usually loud
