ENGINEERING PROJECT SPECIALIST

We are on the lookout for a proactive and motivated Engineering Project Specialist to assist various departments in their endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the delivery of equipment aligns with customer specifications and the scope of work for each assigned project.
  • Support the Project Manager in organizing and overseeing all engineering-related activities.
  • Facilitate design review meetings with both internal and external design teams and clients.
  • Generate, assess, and monitor process deliverables while scheduling and leading internal and customer reviews. Collaborate with Design Vendors and the Engineering Department on layouts and designs.
  • Oversee the review and approval of all mechanical and control designs prior to manufacturing.
  • Update all As Built and Non-Conformance documents as provided by Build Supervisors and Site Supervisors.
  • Ensure that designs are cost-efficient.
  • Document all project-related information for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Draft bid specifications for third-party vendors of tooling and equipment that meet client requirements.
  • Provide support during installation on the customer’s premises as necessary.
  • Conduct customer design, build, and integration evaluations.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the sold scope of work and initiate Engineering Change Requests as required.
  • Manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in automotive tooling manufacturing, particularly in areas such as automated assembly machines, body-in-white (BIW), chassis, glass, or robotic welding.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to review CAD models and familiarity with Team Center.
  • Logical and analytical thinker.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
