About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Master Cake Artisan to join our bakery team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for creating exquisite cakes, tarts, and pastries that delight our customers. Your exceptional decorating skills and attention to detail will ensure that every item meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and decorate cakes, tarts, and pastries for special occasions and everyday sales
• Create intricate designs using various techniques and materials, including piping, fondant, and buttercream
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and customer satisfaction
• Stay up-to-date on new trends and techniques in cake decorating and share knowledge with the team

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum 6-12 months retail or restaurant experience
• Completed Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program or equivalent experience
• Prior experience in a professional bakery or grocery retail environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Standing/walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience
