We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Eisenhower Health. As a key member of our Sleep Disorders Center, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with sleep and wake disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Perform polysomnographic testing according to policy and procedure.
- Use therapeutic and diagnostic equipment, including oxygen, positive airway pressure, and adaptive servo-ventilation.
- Compile and analyze data, including staging and scoring of sleep disorder studies.
- Provide education and training to patients and families about sleep disorder studies.
- Assist and train Polysomnographic Assistants during sleep diagnostic and related activities.
- Prepare patient rooms and equipment for sleep disorder studies.
- Document accurate and pertinent information on technical notes and process procedures in department records.
- Process billing charges or credits as assigned.
- Care and operate equipment used in the Sleep Disorders Center according to technical specifications.
- Education: Completion of a 2-year BRPT-approved polysomnography education program (CAAHEP) or equivalent.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) license from the Medical Board of California or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience in a healthcare-related field.
