We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Experimental Design and Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Supernal. As a key member of our Test, Evaluation, and Certification (TEC) Team, you will be responsible for supporting all designs and leading the manufacturing portion of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop efficient manufacturing solutions and processes to support the test and prototype development of an eVTOL system.
- Lead the manufacturing portion of the TEC Team and provide manufacturing oversight.
- Collaborate with the design team throughout the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases.
- Contemplate manufacturing solutions to support the installation of test instrumentation data-gathering systems to meet test program objectives.
- Coordinate manufacturing development activities, including DFM assessment, design reviews, procurement, and installation/integration.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering field required; Master's or Ph.D. degree preferred.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience with manufacturing or design of an aerospace system/product development.
- Experience leading a technical team and developing and implementing new processes and procedures.
- Experience with new aircraft development, prototyping, certification, and production.
- Experience with supplier management and evaluation in a manufacturing capacity.
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and certification rules and processes, including ARP 4754A, ARP 4761, DO-160.
