Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze security alerts, assess, and triage as needed for investigations/incident response
  • Participate in security programs and services, building and running security information systems and tools
  • Handle service-related tickets/slack messages from community members
  • Promulgate security best practices through automation, education, and collaboration
  • Maintain familiarity with current InfoSec issues, trends, incidents, tools, and practices relevant to Stanford
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus five years relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a contributing member of an enterprise-oriented technology team
  • Well-rounded, critical thinker
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and desire to make things better
  • Deep knowledge of modern information technology systems and strong interest in cybersecurity
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of operational experience in one or more of these fields: systems engineering, deployment/automations engineering, endpoint engineering, authentication, log analysis, cloud administration, or network administration
  • Prefer working knowledge of SIEM like Splunk or Elasticsearch
  • Prefer experience in large enterprise security environment and cloud security
  • Python or other software engineering experience is a plus
